I started by creating a heuristic evaluation of the site, pulling out key area I felt could use improvement. I then looked at CrazyEgg, to gauge some use behaviour and compared some of this to google analytics.

I then organised some remote user testing across trying to assess any key themes and patterns, what was working well and what areas required improvement, and if this validated or contradicted my own analysis.

I ran two separate user tests, 10 experienced hires and 10 graduates, splitting the users as evenly as possible across mobile and desktop as well as male and female. I included one prep round to ensure that the questions being asked and tasks being set were clear enough.

There were some very clear patterns amongst the users and the results validated the original analysis almost completely.
Along with a designer I then created a full report to be presented to the client with the work and findings.

We are now awaiting confirmation of budget in order to make the amends to the site.
